Callum MacIver

Graduated with an M.Eng. degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering in 2010 and a Ph.D. in 2015 from the University of Strathclyde as part of the university’s Wind Energy Systems Centre for Doctoral Training. Since then he has continued working as a Research Associate in the Advanced Electrical Systems research group where his research interests include the design and reliability of future offshore HVDC networks, the market and regulatory issues around offshore transmission infrastructure in Europe and the operation of low inertia power systems. In addition, he now acts part-time as the university Programme Manager for the Offshore Electrical Infrastructure Research Hub, a 5-year collaboration between Strathclyde, the University of Manchester and the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult.
