Donald Rumsfeld infamously said “there are known knowns… known unknowns… and unknown unknowns.” Globally, societies have set themselves enormous challenges in decarbonise their energy supply to address climate change effects. Given the few “knowns” in the de-carbonisation challenge, Alf Young in conversation with Graeme Sweeney (a leading authority on energy, fuels and climate change); Gary Smith, GMB Scotland Secretary; and Jamie Stewart, Consumers Futures Unit, Citizens Advice Scotland, asks:
