Brexit and Future UK Gas Security Conference
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 26 February 2018
Warwick Business School , Level 17, The Shard, 32 London Bridge Street, London,SE1 9SG, United Kingdom
The secure and affordable supply of natural gas is an essential element of UK energy security. Today, the UK imports about half of its natural gas requirements and by the late 2020s import dependence could reach 70% or more.
At present, the UK’s gas supply chain is managed by EU regulations and institutions relating to energy security, climate change and environmental policy. Brexit is coming at a time when there are already major challenges to the UK’s future gas security and uncertainty about the future role for natural gas in the national energy mix.
On 26 February, we will be joined by a variety of key note speakers from academia and industry, to present their views on the challenge of Brexit and future UK gas security.
