Climate change priority town hall meeting
8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 19 April 2018
ESPRC , Birmingham, United Kingdom
ESRC is committed to funding social science research relating to climate and environmental change, and has invested over £50 million in recent years. They are now investing £23 million in a series of strategic investments over five years that will build on this research base.
The aim of the event is for potential applicants to learn more about the two funding opportunities, and to act as a space for networking and consortium building. EPSRC welcome attendance from potential applicants and collaborators from within and beyond academia including from industry, business and policymakers.
Space at the venue is limited and significant interest is expected. In the case of oversubscription, we will limit the number of attendees per organisation. We encourage individuals to co-ordinate across their organisations before registering for the event.
To register interest in attending the event please complete the expressions of interest form by 16.00 on 21 March 2018. By registering you are confirming you are available to attend the event. Applicants will be notified by 28 March 2018 whether they will be invited to attend.
Please note that attendance at this networking event is not a pre-requisite for the submission of proposals to the calls, but we strongly encourage at least one member of any proposed leadership team to attend this event.
The event will run from mid-morning into the afternoon and lunch will be provided. Exact timings will be communicated closer to the event but any queries can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note that travel and subsistence costs to attend this event are not available.
