Energy Materials at The Edge

10:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 29 October 2019
The Edge, University of Bath, Bath, United Kingdom

A one-day symposium, ‘Energy Materials at The Edge’ will be held on 29th October at the University of Bath. The symposium will cover both experimental and computational work on interfaces in materials for energy applications, including materials for fuel cells, batteries, solar cells and thermoelectric devices.

The symposium will run from 1000 to 1800 (with a drinks reception and poster session from 1700-1800) on 29th October, and will include presentations from leading researchers in the field of energy materials. A provisional programme for the symposium can be found here.

Registration and contributions

Participants must register in advance of the meeting, which is free to attend. There are various types of registration. Please choose the registration type which reflects whether or not you intend to present a poster or attend the drinks reception - we appreciate that some participants may be unable to attend the drinks reception due to travel plans.

The organisers invite participants to present posters at the meeting. Unfortunately they cannot accommodate any more speakers at the meeting.

Travel and accommodation

Advice on how to travel to the University can be found on the University travel page.

A map of the university campus can be found here. (In this map The Edge is in dark green, above the light green ‘sports training village’). Further information on how to find The Edge can be found here.

Accommodation should be booked by participants directly. Well-known hotels in Bath include the Hilton Hotel and Premier Inn Bath. Further options can be found on, for instance, the Visit Bath website.

The symposium is supported by the EPSRC networking centre ‘Multiscale Tuning of Interfaces and Surfaces for Energy Applications (MISE)’ and the University’s Centre for Sustainable Chemical Technologies.
