Irish Renewable Energy Summit 2020

9:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 20 February 2020
Energy Ireland , Croke Park, Dublin, Ireland

The 2020 Irish Renewable Energy Summit will look at where Ireland is in terms of delivering renewable energy to meet its climate commitments. We are in many ways starting the second phase of development, with the first phase being mostly focused on onshore wind. The summit will focus on the key elements of the next phase:

  • Decarbonising electricity, meeting the 70% target
  • Power-to-gas: Linking renewable electricity and gas
  • Heat in the City: renewable heat in buildings
  • Copenhagen: 100% renewable gas by 2025
  • Financing renewable energy projects
  • Developing large scale bioenergy projects

The Renewable Energy Summit will provide a valuable opportunity to bring together the key stakeholders from across the energy sector, and those who interact with the energy sector to discuss how the contribution from renewable energy can be maximised and implemented most effectively. The objective is to create a genuine in-depth understanding of the alternative paths open to Ireland in increasing the contribution from renewable energy.
