She is Sustainable: Energy Pioneers
9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, 25 June 2018
Imperial College , Central London (venue TBC), United Kingdom
Having led events for the acclaimed ‘She is Sustainable’ initiative, Green Alliance is launching a new project, in collaboration with the UKERC, to empower a group of early career women through a combination of network building, improving their awareness of opportunities and increasing their exposure and policy influence.
The initiative kicks off on the 25 June with a one day forum event aimed at collaboration, skills sharing and development for 20 women. Participants will have the chance to hear about how to maximise impact in policy influencing, discuss key challenges in the energy system with peers and experienced women in the energy sector, and share insights from their work. For full details, see the draft agenda for the day.
Following this workshop, participants will receive support and resources to develop events and other interventions, to raise their influence on UK energy policy and strategy.
This project is in collaboration with the UK Energy Research Centre and is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. It is a part of Green Alliance's Low Carbon Futures theme.
We will select a balanced group of participants from academia, business, government and the third sector. You can nominate yourself or someone else. Given the in-depth nature of the support on offer in this unique initiative, numbers are limited, and the event is likely to be oversubscribed. There is a brief application process, through this form.
If you have any questions, please contact Caterina Brandmayr, policy analyst at Green Alliance firstname.lastname@example.org.
