Supergen Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Hub launch
9:30 AM - 5:30 PM, 22 January 2019
Supergen ORE Hub , Sherwell Centre, Plymouth, United Kingdom
The new Supergen Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Hub is up and running and will be holding their first annual assembly in Plymouth on 22nd January. Central to the hub’s aspirations are a more coordinated approach to academic ORE research, making that research more accessible and useful to the wider ORE community and developing the next generation of ORE researchers.
Funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the hub is a consortium of 10 leading UK Universities. The hub brings together offshore wind, wave and tidal energy research, with the ambition to improve the sharing of knowledge and expertise across complementary technologies.
As well as hearing more about the hub, the annual assembly in January will offer delegates the chance to explore and debate cutting-edge research challenges and trends with a panel of experts. Topics discussed will include floating wind, future energy networks, wave power, and whole system approaches. The event also presents an unrivaled opportunity to network with the ORE research community and industry.
