UKERC Annual Research Conference 2017: Clean growth and innovation in a changing world

12:00 PM 13 September - 5:00 PM 14 September 2017
UKERC , University of Warwick, United Kingdom

UKERC’s annual academic conference for 2017 will focus on UK-specific themes in the light of international trends, and their implications for UK policies and strategies. It will overlap with the LCS-RNet conference in the afternoon of 13th September and continue on the 14th September. Whilst UK energy and climate policies are subject to renewed uncertainty due to the General Election, the UKERC conference agenda is likely to reflect the themes in the LCS-RNet conference:

  • Implementation of the UK’s Clean Growth Plan and Industrial Strategy: what should the priorities be?
  • Changes in geopolitics and international energy markets, including the implications of Brexit for UK energy policies and markets
  • Priorities and directions for research in energy and development, particularly priorities for the Global Challenges Research Fund

Following the event, a short policy briefing will be produced that provides some key messages for decision makers.

A fuller agenda and speakers for this conference will be publicised as soon as it is available. This event will be by invitation only, if you are interested in attending please contact michael.weston@ukerc.ac.uk.
