Around the world in 80 minutes: what’s working for energy efficiency?

17 May 2017

As part of the ECEEE Summer Study UKERC will be hosting a Solutions Workshop on the 1st of June entitled Around the world in 80 minutes: what’s working for energy efficiency?  The workshop will be broken into two halves with the first focused on the UK and Europe and the second on a few of the large energy economies, e.g., China, India and the US.

We have invited panellists representing industry, finance, civil society and academia and are soliciting questions via Twitter (#UKERC80) and email.  This workshop will provide an opportunity to share successes and take stock of challenges facing energy efficiency implementation and uptake.

During the Summer Study, we also plan on hosting a showcase of UK academics working on local and community energy solutions/tools/case studies.  In addition to showcasing relevant research, the informal session will provide the opportunity for expert exchange and networking.  UKERC’s Industry Network Manager, Amber Sharick will be on-site and, in addition to her usual duties, can be expected to wrangle together a UKERC-sponsored petanque team or two to compete in the traditional Summer Study tournament.
