UK Energy Research Centre Research Fund: Third Call for Proposals
10 Jan 2017
Call for Expressions of Interest
This is the UK Energy Research Centre’s third Call for Proposals under its £3.3m Research Fund. We are seeking proposals from universities or other institutions eligible to hold Research Council awards, in two topic areas:
- Flexibility and low carbon heat systems
- The impact of non-energy policies on the energy system
Consortium or single institution bids will be considered. Projects are expected to start by June 2017, and are usually expected to last between 1-1.5 years. The supported research will form an integral part of UKERC’s research programme.
There will be a two-stage selection process for the call. Expressions of interest are invited by 7th February 2017. Following evaluation, successful applicants will be invited to submit full proposals. These must be costed using standard Research Council Full Economic Costing (FEC) principles, and will be subject to full peer review. The proposed closing date for full applications will be 17:00 on 20th March 2017. Decisions can be expected by late April 2017.
