This Meeting Report summarises the findings of a workshop held in January 2011 at Imperial College London, exploring the general shape of the Electricity Market Reform (EMR) package and the four specific elements proposed in the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) and HM Treasury (HMT) consultations. This summary covers first the generic aspects and then, more briefly, the four specific elements.

Twenty seven leading independent experts from academia, the consultancy sector, NGOs and think tanks attended the meeting. The findings of this meeting were further discussed in a meeting with key stakeholders involved in the development of EMR, details of which can be found here.
