As the Manager of the UKERC Meeting place, Emma leads the strategic work of the Meeting Place, developing and delivering new ideas and supportive resources for events.
Previous Experience
Emma worked for many years as a Producer of Factual and Current Affairs Programmes at the BBC before embarking upon a career in Environmental Consultancy as an Urban Designer and Landscape Architect. She has worked on designing large-scale urban extensions and regeneration projects, including the London 2012 Olympics, and on assessing the environmental impacts of renewable energy projects, including offshore wind farms.
Emma has a Masters Degree in Social Science in Cultural Studies, a postgraduate qualification in Landscape Urbanism and a first degree in French. She worked on researching 'Travel, Globalization and Identities' during her Masters Degree. Emma is a Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute and a Member of the National Union of Journalists.

Jennifer is responsible for Advising, facilitating and reporting on energy-related events including workshops, conferences and research collaborations for the UK Energy Research Centre.
Jennifer can help you with the following (under the umberella of the UK Energy Research Centre):

Previous Experience
Jennifer has been with UKERC and ECI since 2007 with good working knowledge of processes and tools for nurturing interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary collaboration. Prior to joining ECI, she managed projects on climate change, organisational capacity development, youth engagement, community development and stewardship of natural resources.

Tim's role is to develop and design energy workshop programmes and content and coordinate UKERC Meeting Place outputs.
Previous experience
Tim completed a Master of Science in Sustainable Development and Environmental Change at the University of Exeter in 2009, and has worked for the Meeting Place since February 2010. Before joining the UKERC Meeting Place, Tim worked as an Environmental Consultant focusing on carbon finance mechanisms, both compliance and voluntary and their associated development opportunities for African countries for various UN and government departments. Tim is an Associate member of the IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment), has also worked on researching leadership in sustainable development during his MSc and has an undergraduate degree in Geography.

Gabi is the Project and Events Officer at the UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC) within the ECI at Oxford University. Gabi is responsible for providing organisational and logistical support for events and activities organised by the UKERC Meeting Place and the HiDEF Supergen team.
She is responsible for delivering short meetings and events such as workshops or seminars, capacity development initiatives and more substantial research-focused activities such as extended visits or series of workshops. This involves everything from the event coordination with venues and steering committees, the website, registration, data management, clients liaison and facilitation at events. Her passion in life is bringing people together.
Previous experience
Gabi has been working for the Meeting Place since early 2007, in on of her previous roles Gabi managed the day to day running of a logistics department from the receipt of order, goods receiving, material handling and shipping to the customer. This was in the automotive industry on a strict and tight Just in Time manufacturing schedule.
She has also been teaching German in Primary schools in several different schools in Oxfordshire. She also worked as a twinning officer organising events and general twinning function between Abingdon/Vale of White Horse and its 5 twin towns. Gabi is German and has a degree in Business System Management from the Fachhochschule Reutlingen, Germany. She is married to Jeremy and has 2 children.

Jennifer provides administrative and logistical support for workshops and conferences organised by the UK Energy Research Centre’s Meeting Place, located within the Environmental Change Institute.
Previous Experience
Jennifer has spent the past two years working for a small film production company focused on raising awareness of environmental and social responsibility projects. She has also worked as Media Liaison for several large-scale conferences including the first annual London Climate Forum in 2012.
Jennifer has an MSc in Environment, Science & Society from UCL during which she researched film-based education of Climate Change and emancipatory pedagogies. She also has an undergraduate degree in Geography from the same university, during which she studied the real-world experiences of Environmental Subjects in UNESCO Biosphere Reserves.
