William Usher
William Usher is a Research Associate in Energy and Modelling at the UCL Energy Institute. Will's research interests in energy modelling include the analysis of risk and uncertainty within the UK and global energy systems. One of the main challenges involves quantifying the probabilities, costs and ultimately risks of failure of technologies, policy and carbon targets given the challenges in meeting climate change.
Side interests include the use of information technology for collaborative working.
After a brief foray in audio engineering, Will completed the Master of Science course in Environmental Technology at Imperial College, passing with Distinction. The subject of his thesis was "Frequency Regulation from Electric Vehicles in the UK".
