Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studentship Scheme
UKERC’s interdisciplinary postgraduate studentship scheme provides talented students with the opportunity to undertake research and training to help them to develop a good understanding of the concepts underpinning more than one discipline and to foster interdisciplinary research skills.
Since its creation in 2004, UKERC has awarded 35 interdisciplinary studentships addressing energy-related issues that cover the concerns of more than one of the three research councils that fund UKERC. Their work has focused on diverse issues ranging from enhancing woodland diversity and solar hydrogen generation to advanced computing techniques for modelling electricity markets.
