The UK MARKAL Model Family

During the current and previous UKERC Phases, the Energy Systems team have developed several variants of the UK MARKAL model.
A brief introduction to MARKAL is given in this presentation.
These include the following variants:

Least Cost
Partial Equilibrium
MACRO
Myopic
Stochastic

Documentation detailing the structure of the model is stored on this site and updated periodically.
The UK MARKAL model is under ongoing development, with versions frozen for particular academic or consultancy projects.
