MARKAL Stakeholder interactions


The first UK MARKAL was developed for the 2003 Energy White Paper (EWP).  Under the auspices of the UKERC ESM theme the model has been substantially updated during 2006-08, with extensive interactions with a range of stakeholders.

Since then the model has been extensively used for Government, UK research councils, private business, international and NGO projects.  This note summarizes the extensive stakeholder interactions between the UK MARKAL modelling team at King's College London. Stakeholders cover a wide range of economic, scientific, engineering, regulatory, institutional  and policy expertise. They include international organizations, UK government departments, international academics, research organizations, UK academics, business, and NGOs.
