They have formulated a plan in which embedded magnets in roads would charge electric vehicles inductively as they drive over them. The system, developed by scientists at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, has been devised to reduce the battery size in electric vehicles and dramatically increase the number of zero-emission cars and buses.
